What is Physi?
'So Much More Than Dance!'
Physi is a competitive sport for girls aged 3 and up. Physi promotes fitness, flexibility, co-ordination, club spirit, fun, confidence and good sportsmanship. It’s based on basic ballet, modern dance and pilates. Physi includes a combination of dance, floor and standing exercises focusing on posture, positions and technique.
Each year, girls and ladies are taught a new syllabus of routines which are practiced each week at class and culminates in several competitions at the end of the year.
Who can do physi?
Physi is enjoyed by girls and ladies of all ages!
Girls from 3 years of age are welcome to join our club. They need progress through all age groups until they reach 17 years of age when they become members of our Senior Groups. They are able to stay in these ranks until they are ready to join our ladies classes.
Of course ladies girls are able to join a suitable class at any level of fitness. We have many ladies coming back to physi from being members as children. They find the exercise, fun and friendship just the thing to keep both the mind and body active and many mothers and daughters have the pleasure of enjoying a common bond- their love of physi.
Many life long friendships have been formed through physi and these are renewed each year when clubs com together for our annual competitions in October/Novemeber. These culminate in our Grand Finals at Sydney Town Hall in late November.
